English
Late Phase Clinical Research refers to clinical trials or clinical research that are designed to define efficacy and safety of a specific medical intervention for a specific indication. They are often designed as randomized controlled trials (RCT).  In the hierarchy of evidence, RCT is expected to have the highest precision but the lowest real world impact, given its experimental nature.
